Warren Chamber Welcomes Native, Help Grow Business

The McMinnville-Warren County has a new Chamber of Commerce President as Warren County native Jennifer Woods takes over the position.

Woods said her business background and family ties to the area make this role her dream job.

“I was in the business world, I worked for an ad agency and was Marketing Director for a couple of architectural firms,” Woods said “So I really enjoyed that problem solving in the marketing and business world, meeting with people and doing technical writing.”

Woods said she collected management and communication experience while earning her degree in Knoxville. Woods said she returned home to live with family in 2019, wanting to be close to her loved ones.

Woods said she will take over projects supporting the business community of McMinnville and the county as a whole. Woods said she wants to continue growing the local economy and business community, creating engaging programs and activities that help the business community thrive.

Woods takes over for Melissa Mullins, who will help guide her through the transition. Woods said having Mullins there should allow the transition to happen smooth.

“I know I will be picking her brain, and she has offered, like, I am going to be by your side until I feel confident, you know, not that she would ever leave or anything like that,” Woods said.

Woods said Mullins and Chamber staff have made the transition easier, allowing her to learn the position and have more support in her role.

“There are a lot more conversations to be had in the near future,” Woods said.

Woods said the Chamber advertised the position online. Woods applied for the position, submitted references and received an interview.
