The Putnam County Court Clerk’s Office has made steps to improve daily operations and services with the launch of a new website
Putnam County Court Clerk Jennifer Wilkerson said the website contains several new features, allowing residents to look up ticket costs. One can access information on court cases, court dockets, and jury duty.
“This new site really is more user-friendly,” Wilkerson said. “It eases customers’ ability to get in and access some of the services here at the clerk’s office, but more so, it improves the accessibility here for our office.”
Wilkerson said the new website will also tie into the court clerk’s cell phone app. Wilkerson said a frequently asked questions page was added so people can get answers to their questions faster than before.
“We take about 500 phone calls every day in this office, which is about one every 30 seconds,” Wilkerson said. “And so this will, instead of them waiting to be able to get with a clerk, this will hopefully help, be able to create more accessibility. They can find an immediate answer to some of their questions.”
Wilkerson said the new website was a big project for her office and that she is ecstatic with how the website turned out. Wilkerson said the new website was a big need.
“We have been really working towards getting a new website now for about the last year or so,” Wilkerson said. “The old website didn’t have a lot of features. It was more of a landing page.”
