As the high school football regular season enters its final full month, the path to November could become clearer for some teams with playoff spots on the line this week.
Clay County hosts Middle Tennessee Christian Thursday night. Clay County looks to increase their six game win streak in the state of Tennessee and in the regular season. Middle Tennessee Christian enters play 4-1.
Cumberland County will face off against East Ridge Thursday night at home. The Jets won their only game this season in district play against Howard and look to boost their record going into the playoffs. East Ridge enters play 4-2.
Pickett County travels to Zion Christian. Pickett County will seek their first win of the season and their first points since early September. Zion Christian enters play 2-4.
Jackson County will travel to face Trousdale. Jackson County looks to snap their first losing streak of the season, looking to win two of their next four to qualify for the playoffs. Trousdale County enters play 1-5.
Stone Memorial faces Macon County. The Panthers will look for their first region win of the season to get them a step closer towards qualifying. Macon County stands 5-1.
White County battles Warren County. White County head coach David Foster said it will take turnovers and penalties held to a minimum if the Warriors want to acquire their sixth straight win. Warren County looks for a winning record for the second time this season.
DeKalb County faces York. The Tigers seek their third win of the season against their final non-region opponent. York seeks their first win of the season.
Cookeville hosts Maryville. Cookeville will look to bounce back after falling to Green Hill at home last week. Maryville enters play 5-1.
Monterey hosts Grundy County. Monterey looks to get on the scoreboard and avoid dropping their second region game. Grundy County enters play 6-0.
Upperman faces Livingston. The Bees look to finish undefeated in their two game road stretch. Livingston looks to knock off Upperman for the first time in five years.
