Week 4 Of High School Football Could See Firsts In UC

Week 4 of the high school football season begins on Thursday. All teams across the Upper Cumberland are in action with some looking to bounce back.

Cumberland County heads to Kingston Thursday night. The Jets look to get on the scoreboard after being shut out by Stone Memorial last week. Kingston enters play having lost their last game 15-9 against Loudon.

DeKalb County welcomes Friendship Christian. DeKalb will also look to avoid a shutout tonight after Watertown held the Tigers to zero points last week. Friendship Christian enters play 3-0.

Jackson County faces Red Boiling Springs. Jackson County enters play one of the three Upper Cumberland teams having played Saturday, defeating Clay County 20-9. Red Boiling Springs enters play 0-3.

White County hosts Tullahoma. White County hosts a second consecutive rival after defeating Cookeville last week. Tullahoma enters play 3-0.

Cookeville hosts Gallatin. Cookeville looks for their first win of the season in their second home game. Gallatin enters Week 4 undefeated.

Pickett County travels to Sale Creek. Pickett looks to see their offense grow, having scored six points combined in their first three games. Sale Creek enters play with a record of 2-0.

Monterey faces Clay County. Monterey looks to get in the win column after rain called last week’s game against Scott County. Clay County looks to rebound on a short week after falling to Jackson County on Saturday.

Warren County travels to Franklin. Warren County enters play after scoring 48 points and six rushing touchdowns in their win over Hunter’s Lane. Franklin County enters play 1-2.

Upperman travels to face Stone. Upperman looks to continue their win streak after defeating Farragut at home last Thursday. Stone Memorial will also see their first action eight days after shutting out Cumberland County last Thursday.

Livingston squares off with York. Livingston will seek their first 4-0 start in over a decade. York looks for their first win of the season after falling to Meigs at home.
