Week Two of football begins tomorrow with an early kickoff and concludes with Upper Cumberland teams squaring off.
Upperman travels to the East Coast to battle Greeneville. Upperman looks for a repeat of last week, totaling over 400 yards as a team in less than three quarters against Knoxville Webb. Greeneville shut out Morristown West last week 35-0.
Jackson County travels to Midway. Jackson County looks to bring their offense on the road for the second straight week after their 42-32 win against Clinton in Kentucky. Midway defeated Cloudland in their opening game.
Stone Memorial will also head on the road to battle Coalfield. Stone Memorial defeated York at home last week 27-9 without turning the ball over. Coalfield enters after falling to Gordonsville Week 1.
White County and York will each look for their first win of the season. White County fell by one point to Soddy Daisy at home. York looks to rebound after falling to Stone on the road.
DeKalb will start their home schedule against White House. DeKalb held on for a road win against Warren and will look to start the season 2-0. White House was shut out by Portland last week 36-0.
Pickett County’s Cody Muse will coach his first home game against Sunbright. Pickett will look to score for the first time this season. Pickett was shut out by Oakdale 39-0. Sunbright lost to Lookout Valley by two points in week 1.
Cumberland County battles Monterey. Cumberland County looks to start off their road schedule 1-0 after falling to Livingston last Thursday 47-9. Monterey looks for their first points of the season; the Wildcats were shut out by Cannon County 31-0.
Clay County will travel to Smith County. Clay County also fell victim to a shutout last week, falling to Glasgow 49-0. The Bulldogs look to knock off Smith County, who defeated Watertown last week.
Cookeville battles Franklin Road Academy. Cookeville fell to Smyrna by one point to open their season. They look for their first win against Franklin Road Academy, who defeated South Gibson in week one.
Livingston battles Warren. Warren County fell within three points to DeKalb County at home, 19-16. The Pioneers look for their first win in two years against the Wildcats, with Livingston head coach Kaleb Qualls coaching his first game under the Livingston Friday night lights.
