Monterey Tee Ball President Joshua Gallagher has been indicted and charged with theft between $2,500 and $10,000.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office investigation revealed that Gallagher stole funds directly from the organization’s bank account for personal use.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Gallagher’s personal purchases included food and clothing that were not associated with any of the teams. Also, based on the investigation, a large amount of cash was raised from the sale of concessions and fees paid by the individual players was never deposited into the bank account.
Detectives discovered that the bank records indicated that Gallagher only deposited a total of $2,147 for all 16 games played in April and May, when it should have been a larger amount.
