A Pickett County man has been charged with first-degree murder in the Sunday night shooting of his wife.
71-year-old Johnny Foutch was charged after law enforcement came to the home on Eagle Crest Drive to perform a welfare check. Upon arrival, Pickett County Deputies heard a gunshot. Deputies found 72-year-old Theresa Foutch inside the home with a gunshot wound. Theresa Foutch would later die at the scene.
TBI special agents arrested and booked Johnny Foutch into the Pickett County Jail Sunday night. Johnny Foutch is being held without bond.
