Tennessee Tech named the top public university in the state according to Money’s 2025 “Best Colleges in the U.S.”
Universities rated on the quality of education, affordability, and outcomes. Tennessee Tech earned a four-star rating, tying with the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Only Vanderbilt University and King University beat Tech’s four-star rating among private schools.
In 2025-2026, Tennessee Tech had the lowest estimated full price for attendance-inclusive, board, books, fees, room, travel, tuition, and other miscellaneous costs, among all ranked institutions in Tennessee.
