Cumberland County School System has promoted Marcy Harelson to become the next principal at Stone Memorial High School.
Harelson currently serves as the assistant principal at Stone. Harelson has more than 20 years of education experience.
The promotion takes place as 9-12 Curriculum and Instruction Supervisor Dr. William Maddux plans to retire at the end of the month. Current Stone Principal Kelly Smith will transition into the 9-12 curriculum and instruction supervisor role.
