EDITORS NOTE: This is part of a series of stories introducing the candidates for Alderman in Celina. Residents will vote Tuesday.
Candidate Tracy Mills is a truck driver and active community member.
Mills said he is running to help make Celina a better place to live. Mills said a key issue is building up infrastructure.
“We need to upgrade our water lines, sewer lines, you know, improvements of roads,” Mills said. “And try to get more businesses into Celina. We’re just a small town and I’d like to see it built back up.”
Mills said he brings some 25 years of experience in construction and heavy equipment, which can help with planning infrastructure improvements. Mills said Aldermen should maintain a good relationship with people in the community.
“The community has stuff that they want done, and they can bring it to the table,” Mills said. “And we can vote on it and see what we can get done.”
Mills said people should vote for him because he’s a political outsider.
I’m just a local boy, a hardworking guy,” Mills said. “I volunteer in the community a lot. I help coach little league football and little league baseball. I’m pretty much just a regular guy. I’m no politician, that’s for sure.”
