Warren’s Belew Proud Of Tennis Team’s Success In 2025

Warren County Girls Tennis Coach Hannah Belew said seeing relationships grow is a satisfying feeling.

Belew took over as Warren County girls tennis coach two weeks before the start of the season. She took over a team that returned most of their players heading into the year. Belew said her team believes they had a very good season.

“It’s a team sport but it’s very much so an individual sport,” Belew said. “Even though you have to rally with yourself, you have to rally with each other to get that match finished.”

Belew concludes her first season as Warren County tennis coach. Her husband, Eric, was named the new football head coach for the Pioneers in February. Belew said she hopes to improve the team’s mindset heading into next season.

“I wasn’t sure what I was walking into joining this program,” Belew said. “But we had a very successful season.”

Belew said her team only played one scrimmage prior to their first game of the season against White County.

“We had only been practicing together for maybe two weeks when first had that match,” Belew said. “So it was definitely nerve wracking going into it but I definitely think we’ve grown since that first match.”

Warren County ended their season in the district tournament. The Pioneers managed to win several games in individual tournaments. They fell short of qualifying for regionals.

“So far, I’ve been impressed and I’m excited to see where things go,” Belew said.
