White County’s Dronebarger Adapting as Soccer Coach

White County Boys Soccer Head Coach Cameron Dronebarger said he has a lot to be grateful for.

Dronebarger completed his second year as head coach of the Warriors. White County’s season came to an end in the district tournament. Dronebarger said he has seen growth in himself while coaching the team.

“We have hopefully an identity or a culture of who we want to be,” Dronebarger said. “And I think we were able to really implement that this year and so, kind of the fruits of that labor which was encouraging.”

White County finished their season 9-6. Their season ended Tuesday with a loss to Stone Memorial. Dronebarger said the team has taken strides each of the last two seasons.

“They knew that the work was gonna be harder for them, than it was maybe for some other teams,” Dronebarger said. “But they were willing to do that. I think it says a lot about our kids, it says a lot about, you know, their desire to get better and to grow.”

Dronebarger said White County High School has helped push him towards success.

“White County High School, you know, is just helpful in a sense of if we need anything for our soccer program, so long as it’s to the benefit of the kids, they’re gonna do whatever it takes to help us,” Dronebarger said.

White County started funding for new jerseys this season. Dronebarger said the new jerseys were desperately needed. Dronebarger remains head coach with his dad, who is an assistant coach for the Warriors.

Cameron Dronebarger has accumulated 17 wins as head coach of the White County Warriors. He has improved his win total every year since being named the head coach before the 2024 season.
