Stone Memorial Girls Tennis Head Coach Nicole Masood looks to finish her first season on the right note.
Masood took over after previous Head Coach Dylan Nelson took a position at Tennessee Tech. Nelson recommended Nicole and husband Eric to athletic director Nathan Brown. Nicole said her main priority she teaches to the girls is fitting in.
“We’ve had our struggles, you know, with, like I said, some of the matches but then just being consistent, you know, with practices, with their hitting, their forehand, backhand, their placement, you know, just that is really my ultimate goal coming into April.” Masood said.
Nicole Masood enters her second month as head coach in April. Masood said she introduced herself earlier this semester at the library.
“The team has been excellent.” Masood said. “They’ve been very welcoming for my husband and myself as their coaches and it’s gone great.”
Masood said this season has been a privilege for her to coach.
“It’s been exciting and an honor to coach these kids.” Masood said. “They have really opened up to us and they are a, they are the most amazing group of kids I have ever worked with.”
Assistant Coach Eric Masood said he looks for Stone to acquire more individual wins. Stone Memorial concluded the month of March with a 4-2 record. They stand 2-2 in district play.
