The Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce is looking for new ambassadors.
Chamber President and CEO Ethan Hadley said ambassadors are an extension of the Chamber in the community. In addition to promoting the Chamber, ambassadors welcome new members and help plan events.
“It’s an important program for every active Chamber to have,” Hadley said. “Because it allows us to function more as an extended staff than we can with just five people.”
Hadley said Chamber ambassadors should be lively and engaging, and able to have fun. Hadley said ambassadors positively represent the Chamber and their companies in the community.
“When we add say, 10, 15 more people that can act as an arm of the Chamber, as an extension of our staff that know the mission of the chamber and the critical functions we perform, they can go out and make sure our members are getting the most out of the Chamber,” Hadley said.
Hadley said the best way for members to get the most out of the Chamber is to interact with the organization.
“[Ambassadors] also, in turn, have a chance to be among the first to meet new members and welcome them to the community,” Hadley said. “And network for the Chamber’s purposes, but it also helps them to grow their network.”
The new ambassador year begins July 1.
