Highland Rim Academy celebrated its new building Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Director of Advancement Casey Overstreet said students and staff moved into the building earlier this year. Overstreet said the new building needed since Highland Rim outgrew its previous location at Washington Avenue Baptist Church.
“It still almost feels a little bit like a dream,” Overstreet said. “But at the same time, this building absolutley feels like home. We’ve been working towards this goal for so many years, and so to be here today is a huge blessing and a testament to God’s faithfulness to our school.”
Highland Rim is a K-through-12 private Christian school. The new facility is located on England Drive, overlooking I-40. County Commissioners, city leaders and Chamber of Commerce staff were present at Highland Rim’s opening ceremony. The events included school tours and a student art gallery.
