Cookeville Police continue an investigation into a Friday shooting that led to the death of a 34-year old.
The incident happened just before 8pm Friday night in the Wal Mart Shopping Center parking lot on South Jefferson Avenue. Ashton Bohannon transported to Cookeville Regional within minutes of the incident. He was pronounced dead at CRMC.
The suspect, 22-year old Zerico Purnell, detained by Police, and was interviewed. No charges have been filed.
