Tech’s Stuke Finds Love of Golf From Younger Brother

Born in Delafield, Wisconsin, Tennessee Tech senior Reagan Stuke has undergone drastic changes in her life.

Stuke started playing golf as a freshman in high school. Her plan initially was to play college soccer like her mother, who played at Auburn. Stuke said plans changed when she started training with her younger brother, Spencer.

“He decided he wanted to start golfing and he wanted a training partner.” Stuke said. “And so I just decided to pick it up one day. I did not love golf, but I loved spending time out there with Spencer so I stuck with it.”

Spencer Stuke currently is a freshman on the Tennessee Tech men’s golf team. Reagan said she knew she wanted to go to Tennessee Tech and play golf based on a talk with Head Coach Amanda Smith and Assistant Coach Polk Brown.

“They were so welcoming and I love their coaching philosophies and their standards for the team.” Stuke said.

Reagan Stuke stands as the only senior on the Golden Eaglettes’ women’s golf team. Stuke finished her junior year with a 75 at the Huntsville.com Intercollegiate Tournament. She took home the Most Improved Player award for Tennessee Tech.

“OVC is where you want to peak so [I’m] trying to train in a way to where I can peak at the right time.” Stuke said.

Reagan plans to attend Auburn for grad school. She hopes to work with future golfers in strength and conditioning. She graduated in exercise science and physical wellness.
