High School Counselors see great potential in a proposed state scholarship that would pay for tuition, fees, and possibly even supplies required to attend TCAT.
Dekalb County High School Counselor Lori Myrick said there are already multiple scholarship opportunities that cover tuition, but providing money for supplies would save some students thousands of dollars.
Myrick said each TCAT campus has some unique programs so giving students this financial support could help them attend a campus with the right program for them even if it is further away.
Jackson County High School Counselor Keshia Donovan said the program could help local students.
