Shooter Stopped In Cumberland After Livingston Incident

An active shooter stopped at the Cumberland/Roane County line just after 8:30 Friday morning as the Tennessee Highway Patrol involved in apprehending the person involved in a Friday morning incident in Livingston.

The vehicle apparently stopped along I-40 East, according to a law enforcement source. The source said it is currently a standoff. Negotiation teams from the Highway Patrol are working to resolve the situation peacefully.

Overton County Emergency Management reporting that one of the two victims is listed in critical condition, while the other victim is not. One more serious victim airlifted from the scene, according to a source, to Nashville’s Skyline Medical Center.

I-40 East closed at mile marker 342 with traffic being diverted off the interstate. I-40 Westbound traffic also being diverted.

The suspect involved in a shooting around the Hutchinson Facility in Livingston after 7:30 this morning. The Hutchinson facility is located on Airport Road. Preliminary reports said two people injured. The suspect fled, according to a law enforcement source, who said the search continues for the suspect.
