October marked the biggest month for construction permits in more than two years across Putnam County.
In the county alone, more than $14.4 million in construction permits issued for a total of 36 projects. That marks only the second double-digit amount in the last 34 months. Of the 36 projects, 24 were new single-family construction.
The number does not include the four municipalities. The big October puts Putnam County in place to beat last year’s $82 million total for the year. Currently, the tally stands at $77.49 million.
