Dale Hollow Dam Road will be closed to all traffic beginning Tuesday to allow for preventative maintenance and inspections.
The road will be closed to vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. The US Army Corp Of Engineers said the road should reopen next Monday, but that could change based on contractor schedules.
Dale Hollow Dam Powerhouse Superintendent Stanley Carter said the closure will allow heavy machinery to work in the area with ease.
The road will be closed from the intersection of Walker Ridge Road and Will Terry Road on the south.
