This week in the Upper Cumberland the Jackson County Commission will meet.
Commissioners will gather at the county courthouse Monday at 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, the Cumberland Plateau Water Authority will have its first meeting. The seven-member board will be sworn in and elect its officers. The body was formed by private act last year with a goal to create a new water source for the county.
Business begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Cumberland Mountain State Park Recreation Hall.
The UCHRA Policy Council meets Wednesday to continue discussion on regional issues such as child care, mental health and unemployment. Community leaders start work at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, the Sparta Board of Aldermen meets at 5:00 p.m. The Putnam County School Board meets at 5:00 p.m.
The Gainesboro Board of Aldermen meets Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
