City of Allardt will see a new Mayor in former Alderman Yvonne Gernt. Unofficial numbers report that Gernt defeated incumbent Mayor Patricia “Pat” Brown Clark by eight votes. Jim Wheaton ran unopposed for the Alderman seat on the ballot.

Unofficial results from Putnam County Elections indicate Algood residents have voted in favor of a referendum allowing the sale of wine in grocery stores. The referendum passed with 70.2 percent in favor. 29.7 percent of voters were against the referendum.
