A 64-unit apartment complex in Overton County moving forward after the county commission approved an in lieu of taxes for the development.
The relief was requested by the developers as part of its deal to construct the affordable housing. The units would be located on the corner of Rickman Road and Monterey Highway.
Consultant Ray Evans has said that this approval was the last step before construction begins.
The Overton County’s Industrial Development Board earlier this month recommended the move for the full county commission to consider. The commission approved the action Monday night.
