Overton County opening an office in Hanging Limb once a month for county clerk services.
County Executive Steven Barlow said the office will be located in a county building near the Hanging Limb Convenience Center.
“It’s a good 45 minutes to get down here,” Barlow said. “For the ones that get off at 4 o’clock, it helps them out. Anything that we can do to kind of ease the burden of having to come down here and buy your tags.”
Barlow said the office will be open every second Tuesday of the month from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Barlow said any county business that could be conducted at the Livingston Clerk’s Office will be available at the location.
County Clerk Victoria Looper will operate the services. Barlow said no new positions were add to open the office.
