For the second week in a row, UCEMC has issued a voluntary energy load reduction for customers.
The power company asks you to reduce power usage from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. this week. The move comes from TVA based on available power as well as anticipated hot temperatures.
In a release shared by UCEMC, reducing appliance use during the day, turning up your thermostat when not home and simply turning off lights are the best practices.
