This week in the Upper Cumberland the Sparta Board of Aldermen will host its first budget meeting Monday.
City Administrator Brad Hennessee will present department head requests and a preliminary spending plan to the board. The city will also work on a plan to spend its ARP money.
The Cookeville Planning Commission will meet Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Cookeville Regional Medical Center Planning Committee will meet on Tuesday at 4:30 .p.m. with the Finance Committee to follow. The hospital’s Board of Trustees will then meet on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, the Putnam County Budget Committee will review department head requests. Mayor Randy Porter said he has a presentation prepared for the committee. Chair Ben Rodgers said members will review increases as well as schedule the time table to pass the spending plan.
The meeting begins at 6:00 at the county courthouse.
