A legislative bill to give Celina aldermen a pay raise took another step forward in the State House Tuesday.
The bill sponsored by Representative Kelly Kiesling would increase the aldermen’s compensation from $50 to $300 for each regularly scheduled meeting attended. It also would give aldermen $100 for each special called meeting attended.
The increase in compensation would be effective beginning with the next terms of office.
