A total of three candidates will make up the race for the Overton County Circuit Court Clerk.
Election Administrator Craig Story said only one new candidate qualified by Thursday’s extended deadline. Democratic candidate Susan Robbins submitted papers this week. Democratic Candidate Lori Hammock and Republican Candidate Mark Dillon also will be on the ballot.
A state law extended the qualifying deadline to Thursday at noon after Incumbent Barbara Hensley Matthews withdrew her name from re-election.
