Christmas Spending In Putnam Increased Almost Seven Percent
Christmas spending in Putnam County increased by nearly seven percent according to sales tax numbers released Tuesday. Mayor Randy Porter said that this sales tax collection has hit a record high coming in at some $5,378,092. He said that eight months into the fiscal year, countywide collections are up about 11.5 percent.
