UCDD and UCHRA have received a clean audit report this year from an outside accounting firm.
Senior Audit Manager Derek Young of JHM in Chattanooga gave a presentation of the report Wednesday to the Executive Committee. Young said the firm reviewed the finances, operations and accounting practices.
“We had not significant decencies or material weaknesses over internal controls or no instances of noncompliamce and other matters on the yellow report,” Young said. “And that’s the same for all four entities.”
Young said UCHRA, UCDD, the Cumberland Area Investment Corporation and the Cumberland Regional Development Corporation were all reviewed. Young said each organization received the best feedback possible.
