Clay County experienced flash flooding and fallen trees around the county Tuesday morning.
EMA Director Kyle Haney said the areas of Neely Creek Road and Willow Grove Highway were the flash flooding locations. Haney said that road crews are clearing trees and loose gravel across county roadways.
“The only road that is closed right now is going to be Scott Hollow Road,” Haney said. “Which runs off of Neely Creek, as the highway department is working on culvert that has collapsed.”
Haney said that luckily there have been no reported damages from wind or hail. Haney said drivers should travel with caution and avoided the flooded roadways even if the rain has stopped.
