Crossville City Council called a special meeting to address several issues including the hiring of a public works director.
The city had delayed that move after talks began about a county-wide utility. Those talks have ended. Council members asked the city manager to move forward with a job description for the position. Meeting time is Tuesday at 4pm.
McMinnville council members will consider the final reading of the 2020-21 fiscal year budget. Council will also get an update on Gilley Pool operations. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 7pm.
The Cookeville Regional Board of Directors will choose a new chairman Thursday night. Directors will also get an update on the work of the Medical Center’s Charitable Foundation.
Thursday, the Putnam County School Board will hold its September meeting early because of state meetings scheduled for the following week. The Cumberland County Schools will also meet.
