A former employee of a Macon County finance firm faces charges for allegedly abusing her position to steal customer loan payments.
TBI special agents have obtained indictments charging 41-year-old Serena Swindle with theft over $10,000. Authorities arrested Swindle Monday and booked her into the Macon County Jail on $3,500 bond.
During the investigation, agents found that Swindle allegedly stole customer payments totaling approximately $51,000. She resigned from her position when the allegations surfaced.
