A Saturday night crash claimed the life of a 16-year-old from Celina.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the accident happened just before 8 p.m. on Brimstone Creek Road in Clay County.
A THP crash report said the juvenile was driving northbound on Brimstone Creek Road near Dry Branch Road. Officials said the juvenile’s 1992 Geo Tracker left the right side of the roadway and traveled down a steep embankment before rolling over into a creek.
The accident injured a 16-year-old passenger from Gainesboro.
The report listed 19-year-old Alyssa Colson of Celina and a 16-year-old from Celina as passengers inside the vehicle. They did not suffer any injuries.
THP said none of the vehicle occupants utilized seatbelts when the crash occurred.
