A Cumberland County judge has postponed the December 10 trial date for a Spencer man facing murder charges.
The judge made the decision after Billy Joe Wannyn received a new attorney during a court hearing Wednesday.
The 48-year-old Wannyn stands accused of killing 71-year-old Albin Buechel in 2018. Authorities said Wannyn stabbed Buechel multiple times after breaking into his home on Seagraves Road in Pleasant Hill.
Court officials said the judge has not yet scheduled a new date for the trial.
