The Crossville City Council will discuss the employment contract for City Manager Greg Wood during next week’s meeting.
Wood said council needs to take action because his current contract expires in the the near future.
“March 5 is just around the corner,” Wood said. “If you decide that you do not want to renew my contract you need to start advertising now. That way you can get someone to replace me in a timely fashion.”
The original employment contract for Wood expired March 2019, but council members gave him a one year extension in July 2018.
Council members will recommend to renew Wood’s contract or go a different direction during the Tuesday, November 12 meeting.
