A Silver Point man faces charges for allegedly exposing his genitals to a law enforcement officer posing as 13-year-old child.
TBI agents have charged Phillip Carlen Loftis with solicitation of a minor and solicitation of a minor by electronic means.
Authorities said the incident happened while Loftis used an online chat application earlier this year. The arrest warrant said the defendant thought he was speaking to a child under the age of 18-year-old.
During the chat, the 53-year-old Loftis allegedly conducted a conversation with the officer that included having sexual contact with the minor child. The arrest report also accuses Loftis of exposing his genitals during the conversation.
Law enforcement officers arrested Loftis on Wednesday. He remains incarcerated at the Putnam County Jail on $7,500 bond.
