A Smithville man avoided additional jail time Monday after pleading guilty to aggravated statutory rape.
36-year-old Greg Alan Fox received a four year sentence suspended to supervised probation and time served. The sentence handed down by Criminal Court Judge Wesley Bray requires Fox to register as a sex offender with the state.
Authorities arrested Fox for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old female in May, 2018.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department investigated the case.
