A motorcyclist suffered injuries Tuesday after crashing into a parked semi truck in Smith County.
The accident happened on Interstate 40 East at the 252 mile marker.
Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the driver as 56-year-old Arthur Tindle of Munford, Tennessee. A medical helicopter airlifted Tindle to Vanderbilt Medical Center following the crash.
A THP crash report said Tindle was traveling East when his 2018 Harley Davidson left the roadway and collided with the semi. The bike came to a final rest at the area of impact.
