A Pleasant Shade woman suffered serious injuries when her vehicle crashed into a school bus Thursday night.
The accident happened just before 10 p.m. on Highway 141 in Smith County.
State Troopers said 64-year-old Delilah Reid was traveling West in a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban. 54-year-old Robert Peoples of Hickman was driving the school bus in the eastbound lanes.
A THP crash report said Reid failed to maintain proper lane travel, crossed the center line, and struck the left front end of the bus. A helicopter airlifted Reid to Vanderbilt Medical for treatment. Peoples did not suffer any injuries.
The crash report said Reid was not wearing and seat belt and the bus was not carrying any passengers.
