Cumberland County Commissioners will fill the vacant 6th District seat Monday evening.
The seat became vacant after the death of Michael Speich last month. Authorities found Speich dead four days after his indictment for charges of sexual battery by an authority figure and providing alcohol to a minor.
Candidates for the seat include, Joseph Sherrill, Clifford Segar, Charles Wilson Jr., Cody Christopher, and Gary Goldberg.
Cumberland County’s 6th District includes Crab Orchard, Ozone, Pine View, Hebbertsburg, and Grassy Cove.
