A Spencer man accused of fatally stabbing an elderly man in Cumberland County last year will go to trial this fall.
48-year-old Billy Joe Wannyn faces premeditated and felony murder charges in the 2018 death of 71-year-old Albin Buechel.
The trial will take place Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the Cumberland County Justice Center with a motion date set for Sep. 13.
Wannyn was indicted in February 2018 a month after Buechel was found dead inside his Seagraves Road home. Wannyn also faces one count of aggravated robbery in connection with the incident.
