Two Warren County residents will spend at least 9 years behind bars for the death of a Tullahoma man just over three years ago.
A judge sentenced Kayla Brooke Hickey two 10-years in prison this week. Charleston Dakota Ortega will serve a nine year sentence.
Hickey and Ortega were involved in a high speed pursuit that resulted in the death of Joe Moon on June 19th, 2016. Hickey crashed her vehicle into Moon’s Ford pickup after fleeing a traffic stop for a busted license plate that day.
Authorities charged Hickey and Ortega with reckless vehicular homicide following the incident. They entered a plea in court earlier this week.
