Rickman Man Faces Burglary, Child Abuse Charge

A Rickman man faces charges after attempting to burglarize the Cookeville Lowe’s Wednesday night.

Authorities charged 26-year-old Jeremy Neal with theft of property, burglary, and child abuse.

Arrest warrants indicate that Neal cut a hole in the fence and transported items from the business to his truck.

Officials located power tools, chargers and battery packs valued over $2,000 in Neal’s backpack. Upon a search of the vehicle, officers found Neal’s 13-month-old child unattended.

Authorities booked Neal into the Putnam County Jail on a $22,500 bond.
