A Bowling Green, Kentucky man faces charges for allegedly driving drunk with two children inside his vehicle Friday.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol charged John Wiseman Moore with driving under the influence and two counts of reckless endangerment.
According to Putnam County arrest warrants, a motorist had contacted police to report a vehicle traveling all over Interstate 40. THP identified the driver as Moore after conducting a traffic stop at the Jefferson Avenue Dunkin Donuts.
Trooper Brandon Jackson reports he detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the cabin and observed an open bottle of liquor in the floorboard. Jackson also found Moore’s 6 and 7-year-old children in the backseat.
Moore has posted a $1,000 bond and makes his initial court appearance May 10.
