Putnam County authorities charged a Lavergne man with driving under the influence Monday.
Officials made contact with 24-year-old Bronny Francis Pimentel after stopping a commercial vehicle without tags on I-40. Authorities identified Pimentel as the driver.
Officials observed an odor coming from the vehicle associated with marijuana. Pimentel admitted to using marijuana about 30 minutes prior.
Pimentel failed to complete five field sobriety tasks.
Authorities booked Pimentel into the Putnam County Jail on a $1,250 bond.
