The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into missing funds from the Fentress County Financial Office.
TBI Public Information Officer Leslie Earhart reports 8th District Attorney General Jared Effler requested the investigation.
County Executive Jimmy Johnson declined to comment as Earhart reports the investigation is ongoing.
