A Livingston woman was recently indicted by a grand jury in connection with a 2017 murder case.

Brandy Angela McDougle faces one count of first-degree murder with her bond set at $500,000. McDougle will appear for an arraignment hearing in the Overton County Circuit Criminal Court Jan. 7.

The indictment comes following an investigation by the TBI into the shooting death of 41-year-old Timmy Melton in October 2017.

Melton was transported to and later died at Vanderbilt Medical Center after being found at his home with a gunshot wound to the head.
