A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in Macon County Tuesday night.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Highway 52 at Oak Street.
A THP crash report said the vehicle struck the 60-year-old man when be began crossing the roadway after leaving a convenience store.
Officials said the unidentified victim died at the scene. He was not wearing any reflective clothing when the accident happened.
Authorities said no citations or charges will be filed against the driver of the vehicle.
